Yes, it is easy to create a connection with other vloggers based on visual. It is great to meet you in person at 2008 DR conference. 🙂

I agree that it is important to focus on idea, ideology, issue, problem and solution instead of personal vendetta against other people. I am looking forward your next vlogs on important issues. 🙂

    Hello Joey,

    Thumbs up!!
I saw the video on Oh I See..(Mike) and I kiss Hand ASL (David) made about the Deaf Read awards. It sounds like it was wonderful. I am very envious.
I am really interested in all the different Vlogs. I like the opinions, discussions about politics, etc. sorry, I don’t like the blogs as much. The ASL, the signing is better.
Great video – looked really good.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Bobby Lopez……

I had no idea what to expect when I showed up for the conference. As I have not vlogged or blogged before, I was very curious and at the end of the day, I was very inspired! It was wonderful gaining an insight into the Deaf vlog/blog world, and has given me the motivation to be a part of it soon!

Thanks, as usual, I enjoy watched all others about the Deafread Conference.

Think Globally, Act Locally — interesting how you (or, the DeafRead participants) put these words. I wonder how would you present this. Looking forward to watching your vlog.

    Have a good one.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s so well done and nice to go back and relive those special moments. I appreciate the gratitude you gave to us presenters. We worked hard to prepare quality presentations to all. They were well received which was just what we had hoped for. You did an outstanding job as an MC! You had fun with the crowd and yet remained dignified. They couldn’t have selected a better leader for that evening! I look forward to you future vlogs. You’ll always be a favorite among us!

    Joey,

Your work is very exceptional! I enjoy viewing the DeafRead Awards and conference recaps. Hopefully, the next one will expand the outstanding event for all of us.

Perhaps in one day, if anyone can’t participate the conference, it will be nice to use live webcast chat room or discussing between the live presenter or moderator to convey the message with Q and A from our audience. What do you think?

    Nick –

That’s something we MUST look into – to have webcast chat room to have more people involved. With the technology advances, we are getting there!

Joey, thanks for sharing the 2007 Deafread Awards. I find your comment about “Think Globally, Act Locally” interesting. I am using the similar concept for my organization in Colorado. Each State Association needs to do local advocacy while thinking globally and of course NAD. Anyway this “Think Globally, Act Locally” refers to the argument that global environmental problems can turn into action only by considering ecological, economic, and cultural differences of our local surroundings way back in 1972. Good concept to use for our Deaf community. I look forward to watching your next v-log re: Think Globally, Act Locally”

    Keep up the good work!
