I agree with your opinion about :
1) Language Deprivation
I think NAD, Gally, and other (CSUN-other ITP/Deaf Studies/ASL Studies) need focus more on ASL Research, add new ASL for word or directory book that need look at international Sign language that can do better sign than our ASL like use letter with sign language. It may invention by hearing teacher during 60/1970′s era?
2) Diversity:
I have problem at my work -General Motors seem not involve deaf issues, car show, GM Media with no CC, interpreter issue, and I am one deaf employee at GM Plant in Ft Wayne, IN
I think there need Deaf Union Committee on NAD.
I am sure there is hundred company that ignore diversity for Deaf employees/ Issues.
3) Media.
When NAD go Bay Area that should contact Local TV Media, Newspaper and Local Radio for PR/ Media. Also save on NAD Server.
My other suggestion that NAD need partner with State Association for contribution through automatic payment for membership and contribution to State and NAD on same time.

I had been addressing this matter for years about Deaf having their own MEDIA. The way I see it I think it would be best not to get involved with NAD or Gallaudet University. I would keep it indepent and I am sure can seek grants to support this indepent MEDIA. Maybe you disagree with my opinion. Must seek director of MEDIA, management also have someone who is excellent in seeking fund from Advertisements. See hearing have their own TV news and weather and we Deaf have nothing. Must have someone who is good in programming the Deaf TV Network. This will help to expose our needs that Joey mentioned awhile ago. For years they tried it at Gallaudet University and we got nothing out of it. That is why I think we should keep MEDIA indepent so won’t be under control of Gallaudet University or NAD. I am trying to be blunt to keep MEDIA indepent. Yes indeed we do need MEDIA . I would love to see all Deaf work there at MEDIA. I am not against NAD but why didnt NAD have MEDIA for so long. I think we need board of trustees to make sure MEDIA is running smoothly. Should not charge the Deaf for this MEDIA.
